Laci and Isaiah had an over-the-top wedding at a gorgeous venue in Baltimore a few years ago. As any newlywed couple would be, they were beyond excited to receive their wedding album and relive their magical day. However, they were terribly disappointed to find that their wedding photographer did not capture many of the special moments throughout the day. There were very few family photos taken and most importantly, Laci did not have a single photo with her mother, which was heartbreaking to her.
Although married for three years, this past year marked a decade of being together as a couple. Understanding Laci’s frustration and disappointment with her original wedding photos, a close friend of hers and her mother, Ramona, both suggested they take new photos to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. In the interim, her mother became ill and sadly passed before they were able to have any new photos taken. When Laci asked me to help coordinate the anniversary photo shoot for her, I said yes without any hesitation. We grew up across the street from each other and our families have been lifelong friends. I knew just how meaningful these photos would be for her, especially as a tribute to her mom.
We decided that Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami would be the perfect venue for a romantic shoot. It is such a magical place with all its architecture, lush greenery and elaborate gardens. Laci wore a stunning, red, off-the-shoulder gown with gold accessories, while Isaiah opted for a classic, black tux. Their adorable two-year old, Sloan, was such a little trooper throughout the whole day and even made it in front of the camera a few times!
Laci and Isaiah are two of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet and the love they share for each other is undeniable (the way he looks at her… swoon!!) They now have beautiful photos to last a lifetime, photos they can share with their loved ones and preserve for generations. And what better way to add to their love story than with the recent announcement that Baby #2 is on the way! We know Ramona is looking down with that huge smile of hers and beaming with pure joy.
